When I read the reviews, it was clear that the added bonus would be for a better feel while gaming. I wondered if my in-game skills would improve as a result. The answer is a definite, YES. Because the silicone makes the controller more "grippy", it does seem to result in less hand fatigue and allows for more fine motor control during intense gaming. I used to find that the basic Xbox360 wireless controller was a bit slippery underneath and I constantly felt like it was going to fall out of my hand. My husband complained about the same thing when using the controller to navigate the online menus, like apps, streaming movies, etc. I can't tell you how many times one of us would go to pick it up and it would fly out of our hands or off the table because of the slick surface on it.
